Pricing and Process
For small projects or ongoing work, I charge $75/hour for my time, invoiced monthly or when the unbilled amount reaches $250.
If you have a large project like a new website or a major redesign, I generally write up a proposal and quote a specific flat fee so we both know what to expect.
I often work for small businesses who need a website presence that explains their services. Functionality usually includes a contact form, newsletter integration, setting up a blog, and sometimes some light ecommerce (like PayPal buttons). For a simpler project like this that use a lightly customized theme and under 10 plugins, expect to pay around $1500-2000 for a brand new site or a redesign of an existing site, depending on how much content you have. For a completely custom design, extensive content, or more advanced functionality, expect to pay between $2000-$4000.
For large projects, I create a contract we both sign off on, with 30-50% of the fee paid before work starts as a down payment.
Payment plans are possible, although due to the administration overhead, I charge a bit more to do this. I am sometimes open to trade, depending on what kind of work you do.
Fill out the request quote worksheet to let me know about your project, and I’ll get back to you with any follow-up questions and a quote.
